Summer Fruit Festival-2011 held at Daffodil International University

Professor Dr. M.Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University along with the Deans of different Faculty is seen visiting the stalls in the fruit festival.

Summer Fruit Festival-2011 held at Daffodil International University on Thursday, June 30, 2011. Students of 24^th Batch (Wings Xpo) of BBA Program of Daffodil International University organized the day long Festival at DIU Auditorium. Professor Dr. M.Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University inaugurated the carnival as the chief guest. The inaugural session was also addressed among others by Professor Dr. S.M. Mahabubul Haque Majumder, Dean Faculty of Science and IT, Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Dean Faculty of Business and Economics, Professor Dr. M. Golam Rahman,Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Faculty of Business and Economics, Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Registrar and Ms. Shakila Sarwar, Lecturer &  Convener of the Summer Fruit Festival-2011. Fifteen stalls of Students of different departments of Daffodil International University participated with various country fruits in different names Like Fruits Cottage, Bangaliana, Nir, Asharer Fal Samahar, IDSA, Deshi Fal Ghar, Fruits Park, Fruits Court, Fruits Corner,  . It was a gala gathering of students, faculty members, officials and others. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahaman visited various stalls and interacted with students in a festive mode after inauguration.

As per declaration of the Hon’ble Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University Mr. Md. Sabur Khan four best stalls were awarded cash money prizes. Accordingly as per evaluation and investigation of the Jury board of the Festival first prize goes to Fruit Cottage, Second prize goes to Fruit Park, third prize goes to Fruit courts and special prize goes to Deshi Fal Ghar.
